【摘要】:Uraniumproductionfacilitiesmustcontroltraceuraniumcontentintheirwastewaters.Colorimetricandfluorimetricmethodshavebeendevelopedbutrequireatediousseparationofinterferingelements.TraceuraniumcanalsobedeterminedbyICP-MSbutnotallwatermatricesareadapted(forexample,waterswithhighsaltcontent).DirectX-rayfluorescencecanbedoneontheliquidbutwithadetectionlimitof8764;5mg/LX-rayfluorescenceaftercollectionofuraniumofferstheadvantagestoreachlowdetectionlimits(0.05mg/L)andtoavoidhandlingaliquidinthespectrometer.1.1Thistestmethodappliesforthedeterminationoftraceuraniumcontentinnaturalandwastewater.ItcoversconcentrationofUbetween0.05mg/Land2mg/L.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
